Formed in 1979

Basingstoke Packaging Ltd was formed in 1979 to manufacture quality wooden cases for both the UK and export markets, and to provide a packaging service for your merchandise on our site, ready for forward collection.

Since then we have expanded to offer on-site packing, to ease collection and delivery aggravations, saving both time and money.

What we do

We make timber packaging in softwood and plywood — cases, crates, pallets and skids — designed around the item that goes inside. Work ranges from single bespoke items to repeat batches made to an agreed specification, for customers packing machinery, engineering components, electrical equipment and other industrial goods.

We are able to supply collapsible cases in 5mm or 6mm plywood, 9mm plywood and 19mm softwood cases and crates in rigid or shook form. Pallets are available in 9mm or 12mm plywood and in softwood, with two-way or four-way entry. All cases and pallets are manufactured to your own specifications.

We have also expanded our products to offer all types of packaging materials, from cardboard boxes of all forms to bubble wrap, loose fill, all foams and tapes. We offer our services to companies of all types and to the general public.

Prototype to high volume, and call-off supply

Whatever quantity is required, from prototype through to high volume, we are able to meet your needs. For contract or large volume orders we offer a call-off facility, helping to ensure continuous supplies. Our turnaround and delivery times are geared to meet your schedule.

Accreditation

We are certified by the Forestry Commission for the ISPM 15 wood packaging material marking programme required for export, and describe ourselves as ispm 15 h-t standard accredited. Wood packaging material for international shipments can therefore be supplied heat-treated and marked to the ISPM 15 standard.

Timber products

Alongside industrial packaging we manufacture and supply timber products — garden sheds, fencing, garden sleepers and bespoke timber items.

Where we are

From Thatcham we work with customers across Newbury, Basingstoke, Reading, Berkshire, Hampshire and the wider South East, and prepare consignments for shipment across the UK and overseas.
